Thank you for writing about this topic! i was viciously attacked by a large dog as a child and since then i never felt confident enough to be near a dog, no matter the size or breed. However after I had children, my husband thought it was important for me to address my fear of dogs for the sake of our children. I sought therapy and learned how to safely be around dogs (one step at a time). Our family now owns a pet Yorkie named Gypsie!
