Sonja DinnerSonja Dinner, President of the Board of The DEAR Foundation, has made a name for herself as a philanthropist and humanitarian over the past 12 years, making every effort to help women and children around the world.

After a successful career as a CEO and primary shareholder of the information technology company Heyde Schweiz AG until 2002, she has used her skills to independently advise Swiss banks and their customers on philanthropic and humanitarian investments. She has used her own good fortune in the information technology industry to give back, and has developed a unique expertise in funding sustainable programs. She brings this passion and extensive knowledge to The DEAR Foundation as president of the board. Mrs. Dinner’s philanthropic work, as an individual and as president of the Board of The DEAR Foundation, transcends religious and ethnic divisiveness. She knows that the grim face of poverty is the same worldwide. Her efforts have been driven by her passion for women and children all over the world.

Mrs. Dinner lives by the motto that education and improved living conditions are the only way to change the fate of those who are poverty stricken. Therefore Mrs. Dinner has ambitious goals: give as many children as possible a meaningful childhood and empower the poor to live a dignified and independent existence, free from charitable handouts. This work takes her not only to Israel and the Middle East, but also to all parts of Africa, Asia, Russia, Central and South America.
