William “Bill” Kaler Runs WeatherFun, a Nonprofit Group Founded to Connect Weather Enthusiasts from around the U.S.

kaler, williamWilliam ‘Bill’ Kaler, Vice President, Treasurer and Moderator for WeatherFun, has was recently named a Worldwide Who’s Who Professional of the Year in Nonprofit Operations Management for his commitment to quality and enthrallment with meteorology.

Mr. Kaler has spent nearly two decades at the helm of WeatherFun, a nonprofit organization that specializes in weather forecasting. He previously spent 33 years working for the New York State Office of Mental Health, where he pinpointed the emotional health needs of children and made recommendations for treatment or support. In his current comprehensive role for the not-for-profit weather reporting company, he is responsible for short-term forecasting, updating the website and approving new members.

Lillian Light Works to Help the Environment through the Environmental Priorities Network

Lillian LightLillian Light’s organization, Environmental Priorities Network, runs public forums, and their next meeting is being held on September 27th, 2014 at:

The Pacific Unitarian Church
5621 Montemalaga Drive
Rancho Palos Verdes CA 90275

The forum is being held from 9-10 with snacks being served.

People can visit the environmental tables, and from 10-12:30 speakers from Citizens United will be on hand to foster stimulating interactions with those in attendance.

Celebrate the Earth with the Environmental Priorities NetworkThe organization has conducted nine solar home tours, and these are held every year in May. An “Earth Day” is also celebrated in April, and the board meeting for Environmental Priorities Network is on the second Thursday of every month in the Pacific Unitarian Church library.

Ms. Light also writes articles for the Audobon Society’s newsletter. She helped to found the organization in September of 2001.
